A J Institute of Medical Science & research Centre, Mangalore (AJIMS) may be a medical college in Mangalore with an annual intake of one hundred fifty students. The faculty is an off shoot of A. J. Hospital and Research centre. The faculty is promoted by man of affairs man .A.J. Shetty. AJIMS is aimed to supply international views of medical education to win the national objective of ‘‘Health for All’. The institution nurtures a vision to ascertain itself as a premier impartation medical education that effectively combines high academic exposure, skilled outlook and commitment to humanitarian values. The faculty was established on twenty one October 2002. This faculty is placed at Kuntikana junction on NH-18. The medical school is presently related with RGUHS and recognized by MedicalCouncil of Asian country. The primary batch passed out of ultimate MBBS in February 2007 and completed internship on 15 of April 2008. The college has post graduation courses i.e. M.D. and M.S. degrees in varied departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, medical specialty & materia medica, Pharmacology, Pathology, biology, Community drugs, ENT, medical specialty, medical specialty, PTCD, Anaesthesiology, Radiology, internal medicine, General Surgery, pediatrics and tocology & medicine. Mr.Prashanth Shetty is the A.J.I.M.S. Director.
